It was only a resolution and it didn't get voted on, but at least the Hawaii Legislature is aware of vertical farming and the Honolulu Star Advertiser thought it was worthy of coverage. Maybe next year.

Hana Hou Magazine

If you flew Hawaiian Airlines in February or March of this year hopefully you saw this great write up on MetroGrow Hawaii by Martha Cheng in the Hana Hou Magazine. Unfortunately the online version doesn't have the gorgeous photos by Elyse Butler. Veggies never looked so good.

Ag Tech Hawaii

Ag Tech is a rapidly growing field and Hawaii companies are in the mix. See this Pacific Business News profile and some of the companies involved (MetroGrow Hawaii included, of course!).

Local Foods, Local Places

Local Foods, Local Places is an EPA program to promote healthy food systems in cities and towns. Honolulu is one of the participants and Kakaako has been a focus of the planning activities. Read more about the program and MetroGrow Hawaii in this Civil Beat article.

Foundry, The Journal for Our Kakaako

Our Kakaako location puts the "metro" in MetroGrow Hawaii. Foundry highlights the Kakaako community and we were happy to be profiled.

Honolulu Magazine New Farmers

Another great piece from Catherine Toth Fox for Honolulu Magazine. MetroGrow Hawaii was honored to be included in this group of innovative Hawaii farmers.
